30-45 minutes only gives enough time to work on one specific area. You just let me know one area that is hurting and we get it to feeling better.

60-75 minutes is a pretty typical and standard session time. It allows enough time to do a full massage (back, shoulders, neck, arms, hands, legs, feet, head and face) with 75 minutes it allows a little extra time on some areas of tension and discomfort.

90-120 minutes are optimal! And my favorite! Allowing plenty of time to work out the tension and I feel like like I can do a good, thorough job.

Explanation of services

Customizes Therapeutic Massage - Therapeutic  massage is a massage  that uses techniques of Myofscial release and Deep Tissue which focuses on the deeper layers of muscle tissue.  It uses much of the same movements and techniques as the Swedish massage, but the pressure will generally be more intense.  It is also more focused on relieving chronic muscle tension of knots, also known as "adhesion's".  Slower strokes and more direct, deeper pressure and friction is applied to the grain of the muscle.  It's a "good hurt" feeling.  Meaning, it is an uncomfortable hurt, but feels good at the same time.

Just Knead to Relax  Massage  - Most commonly known as the Swedish massage. It's  the most commonly offered and best known massage.  It uses firm, but gentle pressure to ease muscle aches and tension and improve flexibility.  Swedish massage creates relaxation by reducing both emotional and physical stress.

Pregnancy Massage -  Pregnancy massage is done in a side-lying position using cushions or pillows.  This position is comfortable and safe allowing access to the back, hips, and back of legs.  One side of the body is worked on at a time.
Receiving regular massage during pregnancy can alleviate many of the unique discomforts of pregnancy with the extra weight gain, change in structural alignment and hormones.
Studies have shown that with regular massage during pregnancy contributes to shorter, less painful labor and can reduce labor complications and medications.

Hot Stone Massage - Hot soothing stone massage is a specialty massage that used heated basalt stones, a black volcanic rock that absorbs and retains heat well. It is a deeply soothing and relaxing form of massage.  Traditional Swedish massage strokes are used while holding a heated stone. As the stone cools, it is replaced with another.  Heated stones may be also placed along your spine, around the shoulder blades, in the palms of your hands, and little rocks are placed between your toes with a hot towel wrapped around your feet while the therapist works on other areas.

About Teresa....

My passion is to help people and that is why I went into massage therapy. Some would say I am a natural born people pleaser.  I have a very quiet and calming personality, which makes massage therapy a perfect fit for me.

I started A Kneaded Touch in June of 2004 after I graduated from Institute of Therapeutic Massage and Wellness in February, 2004 with 1000 hours of training.

Every massage therapist has there own strengths and weaknesses and I feel my strength is with deep tissue work - especially with the neck, shoulders and upper back.  I love the challenge of deep tissue work and trying to figure out the patterns of a persons tension and which trigger point it's coming from.  Sometimes it's like trying to solve a mystery, and when you solve it, there is no better feeling in the world for me.

I strive to learn more and more with continuing education courses.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my job! I know I'm so blessed to be able to say that and, I love serving the people in the Broken Bow, NE and Custer County area!
